I know that many of you have been as concerned as I about how Tammy has been doing since the loss of a loved one back in June. (How's that for a run-on sentence?!) Aaaanyhow, I finally got around to sending Tammy a Thinking-of-you card this morning, to let her know that we're doing just that! I bought the card about three weeks ago, but I've had alot going on in my own life and finally just set aside a couple of minutes to get it in the mail. I know that Tammy really appreciates the concern and support of all her fans. She's really a terrific gal. As soon as I hear from her, I'll let everyone know right away. In the meantime, let's keep her and Guri - her husband - in our thoughts and prayers. Steve

Hope all has been going well for all of you. I know things have been kinda dead here lately. And, I apologize for that. I've just had alot of different things going on in my own life, of late. Occasionally, I have found time to do a Google search on Tammy, just to see if I can find out any news regarding any on-going film projects she may be involved in. But, there are lots of sites and not enough time to check them all out. But, judging from the sites I've checked out so far, there's nothing new to report. As yet, I haven't heard back from Tammy. But, the main reason I'm posting right now, is to let y'all know that Tammy's birthday is coming up on November 16th, a week from tomorrow. As Moderator of Tammy's forum, I'm going to send her a B-day card on behalf of all of us, her fans. Of course, that shouldn't stop any of you from sending her a card of your own! If you wish to send Tammy a card separately, please send it to her Howard Entertainment address, which can be found in Tammy's FAN MAIL ADDRESS thread. Happy Homefronting! Steve

As you've just seen, the board is going through some changes. Beth has elevated me to the level of Administrator, as well as, Host to Tammy's forum. We've been in the process of streamlining the board so that it'll seem less "cumbersome" especially to first-time visitors. Though we are "slimming down" here, we've kept all the useful and important stuff. More changes will be in the offing, as time goes by. All in all, we think it'll make for a better experience for all. And, hey, if you have any suggestions, as to how we can make this haven to Homefront and the 1940s any better, don't hesitate to mention them! Steve "Frohe Weihnacht!"

So, I didn't get a chance to jump on the PC to wish everyone happy New year at 12:01AM. But, here's wishing all of you a terrific New Year!!! Hopefully, things will be better for all of us in the year to come! (BTW, I've got the TV on, as the Rose Parade in Pasadena - where Homefront was filmed - starts in 27 minutes. Can't miss that!). Little late with my greetings but send wishes to you all for good health and happiness in the New Year. Spent a low key evening at home with family and watched the celebrations from around the world followed the next day by tuning in to the always spectacular Rose Bowl Parade. I remember the years when "Paul" hosted it. Hope this is a good year for Tammy too and we will see her in some other projects. Didn't know Homefront was filmed in Pasedena!

Like you, I miss Maggie very much. But, I've long since given up any hope that the new writers would give us any clue, as to what happened to the character. It's kinda like watering the sidewalk, and hoping it'll grow. I'm still hoping Tammy will eventually pay us a visit after her eight-month absence. I've sent her a couple of cards in that time. Even though Tammy has been gone from Y&R over a year there is still talk about Maggie. I just subscribed to Soap Opera Digest and the first issue I got last week has a quote from Tammy in the "You Heard it Here" section. Tammy is quoted as saying "Why do they always have sex on couches?" one her pressing concerns after doing her first soap. I thought that was pretty funny. Y&R has actually gotten a lot better about moving it to the bedroom!! There is also still threads on the message boards about Maggie, asking where she is, what happened to her and Paul. Questions we never got answered. People, including me, really miss her on that show! Has anyone heard what Tammy has been up to? I hope all is well with her and all of you!! Talk to you later!! Kari

Thanks for dropping by! It's amazing that folks are still chatting about Tammy/Maggie more than a year after she abruptly left Y&R. She must've really made an impression on Y&R fans. It also shows that there are fans who invested alot in "Maggie" and that they've been left hanging by the Y&R writers, with no explanation, whatsoever, as to her sudden disappearance. The last I heard from Tammy was back in June of last year, when she e-mailed me to pass the word to everyone here about the loss of a loved one in the family. According to Tammy, another was seriously ill. She did say that she'd visit again, when things settled down emotionally for her. Since then, she has been absent and very much missed, here at Homefront Yuku. From time to time, I've scoured the Internet to try and find any news about Tammy, as well as, any TV/film projects in which she may be involved. So far, I've come up with zilch. I keep hoping that Tammy will one day surprise us with a visit. Like you, I do hope she's doing alright. Because of Tammy, I still watch Y&R, as it comes on right after the CBS2 mid-day news. And, yes, I do miss her character on the show. There's so much going on in the story that Detective Maggie could be involved in! It was indeed, funny to read Tammy's thoughts on why soap opera sex scenes always seem to take place on couches or sofas - not the most comfortable place for this activity. And most of you know me pretty well by now. Soooooooo, here goes: A few days ago Margaret and I found out from our daughter Erika, that we're going to be grandparents!!! Well, I think I made it known elsewhere, that I just don't feel ready to be called grandpa just yet --- time's just flying by too fast for me! But, I'm very excited about it, just the same!! Erika and her husband Mark live in Trenton, Florida. Mark's family is also very excited, as this will be the first grandchild in their family, also. And, yes, Erika and Mark do plan on finding out the baby's gender before it is born. Erika's tentative due-date is October 16th. As we learn more from Erika, I'll pass it on to y'all!
