Just for clarification, the only family in the pic, are me, Dad & Mom. Aside from Eric and Manuela, the other "cowboys" you see, are the actors/stuntmen who worked with us. Well, things have been quiet here on Tammy's forum for awhile now. So, I thought I'd jump in here and see if we can start talking again until Tammy favors us with another visit. First, I'd like to say that things just haven't been the same on Y&R since Lynn and Tammy left. Even my daughter Erika, said to me last week, that she's lost interest in watching, for the most part. The storylines are getting rather samey; at times, we feel like renaming Y&R "Victor's World." Not that I'm putting down Eric here...he's a great actor and, a great guy. And, meeting and talking with him qualifies me to make that statement. One thing I didn't know about Eric is that he can speak French so well! But, Erika and I are getting bored of the other two storylines involving "Restless Style" and the whole Jeff-and-Gloria thing. Only yesterday, did it get alittle more interesting. Paul and Heather seem to have been put on the shelf, for the most part, by the writers. Also, I think they should've at least written Maggie Sullivan out by having a scene where Paul and Heather or, two other characters discuss Maggie's leaving GC to take a better job offer with, say, the San Diego PD or something like that. (Besides, sunny and mild San Diego would be a perfect change for a gal who's been languishing in Arctic Wisconsin!) Instead, Maggie's gone...just plain vanished, with no mention or explanation whatsoever, as to why. I'm sure a lot of Y&R fans are wondering why the Maggie Sullivan character suddenly fell off their radar screens! They're probably also asking why they're doing away with Heather, as it would seem. I would've thought that there's much material with the Paul/Heather, etc. combination for the writers to work with. I still watch Y&R after the mid-day CBS news broadcast, mainly because I don't like turning on the TV for only half an hour. But, it is with heavy heart that I watch Y&R, these days. For, gone is our favorite girl detective. Of course, we here on the board, know why Tammy made the decision to leave Y&R. And, I'm sure that none of us blame her in the least for doing so. In fact, it may well have been a smart move, on her part for other reasons. TAMMY, if you read this, I have some questions for you. If you received an offer to take on a role in another soap opera, say, Days Of Our Lives or General Hospital, would you consider taking it? And, would your past experiences on the set of Y&R have any influence on your decision, one way or the other? I do hope, Tammy, that you'll find time soon out of your crazy-busy schedule to pay us another visit! We'd all like to know how you're doing, these days and, what TV and film projects may be in the offing for you. Steve "Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more....." Y&R viewers want to know where Maggie has gone, and they are missing her. Some of them are surprised to learn that Tammy decided to leave the show two months ago. I've read somewhere that there's a small article mentioning Tammy's departure in SID magazine.

The board sure drew extra attention when Tammy was posting here!! Hope they also noticed the passion and dedication of the Homefront fans here! But at least Tammy's exit was acknowledged by one magazine. Many viewers have been left scratching their heads as to what happened to Maggie. I've noticed posts on message boards asking about her. And weeks later there has still been no mention of Maggie leaving on the show which I think is not only unfair to the character Tammy created but also very unfair to fans who invested in Maggie and her relationship with Paul. I want to know where she went too - promotion? Family crisis? Run over by a truck? Maggie fans want answers!! And some closure.

Bakerlou, I couldn't agree more! Tammy did a wonderful job in fleshing out the Maggie Sullivan character. It's a real disservice and, I might go so far as to say, a slap in the face to Y&R fans who cared about, and followed the "Paggie" storyline. Perhaps, the "new management" at the Y&R studios just doesn't give a wet slap about what loyal fans think or feel. Occasionally, I still tune in to Y&R, mainly to see if any mention will ever be made of whatever happened to Maggie Sullivan. Would it really be so hard for the new writership to create a simple scene in which Paul explains to, say, Heather why he and Maggie are no longer tongether? Wow....one of Tammy's posts here on our humble board was actually quoted by Soaps In Depth! I'm impressed that we've attracted attention from such a well-known publication in soapdom! Hopefully, this will also lead people to take notice of Homefront and Tammy's wonderful portrayal of Ginger Szabo! Thank you, Mathys and Bakerlou, for your updates! Paul and Heather could have a scene explaining it but they are hardly ever on these days. It was either a week or 2 ago that I saw Tammy listed in the comings and goings in SOD, then this last week there was a small article in SID. The blurb in SOD just had a small quote that Tammy wrote on this website, the article in SID was much better in my opinion, it included more info. A lot of Y&R fans don't get on message boards or read soap magazines so I really think they need to address Maggie's leaving on the show, especially if they want Paul to move on. Well, I really liked the Maggie Sullivan character so much that I just got a puppy and named her Maggie!! Tammy I'm looking forward to hearing about what you've been working on. Do you miss Y&R? It's probably fun to get out and do something different after doing Y&R for over a year.

Maggie is a Boxer, she's too cute for words. I got her because unfortunately my dog who was 13 passed away. Let me tell you, there's a big difference between a 13 year old dog and a puppy, she keeps me busy!! She's great though!! Cockers are so cute too, my Aunt had one, it was a great dog!! I've never had one myself but they sound like a lot of fun. I miss Maggie too. It was weird not seeing her with Paul at the Restless Style party, and when he is with Heather. I really hope those two get a storyline soon. I did hear they are casting Heather's grandmother so maybe that will go somewhere for them. Also, I watched the clips on the Homefront site. What a great show!!!! I see why you guys love it; Tammy and Kyle are so cute!!!! I especially loved the dance episode. I'm all for it on DVD!!! Katie, I'm glad you took time to check out the Homefront TV series! Now you know why we love this show, as well as Tammy's role in it. Of course, Kyle and the rest of the cast did a great job, too, in making it the great show that it was. The dance episode is one of my favorites, too. From what Tammy has told us, it took lots of work to make those dance sequences look so good as they did. Believe me, we're all working to get Homefront out on DVD!! If you haven't done so already, please check out the Homefront discussion threads elsewhere on the board! There's a wealth of info on Homefront to be found. I've been searching for them ever since I discovered this site but obviously missed the obvious! Do you need a special application or download to view them? Count me in as another person who would love to see the series on DVD. I grew up in post war Britain so have many memories of that era. Though the US post war experience might have been a little different I think? But I still find myself drawn to it! Making this Tammy relevant.........still no mention of her departure. Going to have to write some fan fiction for closure here ! Junebug: I'm not sure about the "Dorothy" rumor. I think it's a casting code name for another character rather than Heather's out of town Grandmother. I'd rather see MIA Granny Mary Williams than an unfamiliar character.

Personally, I haven't been on that site since I have all the Homefront episodes on VHS. In doing a Google search recently for other Homefront sites, I think I came across a site featuring Homefront video clips. I'm sure you'll be able to find the site, either on afore-mentioned LINKS thread or, by "Googling" or "Yahoo-ing." "I grew up in post war Britain so have many memories of that era." My mom (may the Lord grant her eternal rest) grew up during the 1940s in California. She remembered when her brother (my Uncle Al) enlisted into the US Navy to serve in the Pacific because he didn't want to get drafted and possibly sent to fight the Germans and, possibly, shoot a relative. Mom also had an uncle who was arrested by the Gestapo and thrown into Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp for helping to smuggle Jewish families out of Germany. Dad went through the war in Poland (where, at age 14, he was an apprentice machinist at I.G. Farben) and Austria. He emigrated to the US in 1951 and ended up in Los Angeles. Like you, I've been watching to see if the writers will bother to make mention of Maggie's rather precipitous exit from the GC scene. This may be like waiting for historians to find out what really happened to the two princes in the Tower. One thing I know, for sure, is that the writing has really changed since Lynn Latham has been gone. I really love her style of writing. Yes, why don't you make it a project to write a fanfic story to fill in the gap of Maggie's sudden departure from GC?! Have you written fanfic before? I never dabbled in it until I became a member of this board. By the by, if you have a free decade, stop by the TRIBUTES forum and read my two Homefront fanfic stories. I was trying to think of that but, it just wouldn't come to me. Yeah, I think Tammy will be very taken by Kari's naming her puppy after her Y&R character! What a cute doggy! And I can't imagine anyone else playing the role of Ginger Szabo as well as Tammy did. To this day, I say that Tammy owned that role! And, I've told her that, myself. She has such a talent for the dramatic and the humorous, especially with her facial expressions. And, let's not forget poignancy, as in the Homefront episode, So All Alone. Anyway, Lynn hit a home-run when she chose to cast Tammy in the role of "Ginger!"
