Here are a couple of posts describing what it was like!!

AAAAHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today was awesome!!!!! We got up really early. Last night. I did not sleep well at all. I was up half the night wondering what if.

Then we left at 7:30 this morning. The traffic was horrible. We got to Austin, got lost, turned around, got lost then got turned AGAIN, then finally found the church.

When we signed in, I asked the man if Kyle was going to be there and expalined about Benji. He said he would see what he could do. Our scene that we filmed wasn't with Kyle. It was with Landry and we were sitting directly behind him.

After they said it was a wrap, the extras director called our family aside and took us to the trailers and lo and behold, Kyle came out. He introduced himself to us, commented on Grace's name, said it was his g'mother's name. He then told us this story about how his g'ma inlaw had cancer, then fought it, then got her drivers' license when she was like 80. I told the kids that in the olden days, proper ladies didn't drive just like their g'ma. I asked him if he was learing his way around Austin. He said that he has to use a GPS and his wife is better with directions. I said I'm directionally impaired I make a better passenger than I did a driver. At that point I was starting to worry about getting lost leaving Austin, so I quick changed the subject. He had his motorcycle parked there and I told him it was cute. He said that he brings his dog on the motorcycle. I then told him about our car sick cat(yeah, I know, can anyone say dork?) And he said he'd never bring a cat on his bike.

We then got pictures. He took a pic with all of us and when he took a pic with just me, he sort of growled and squeezed me so hard, I actually fell against him.

He was absolutely precious. A real gentleman. It was literally 102 in the shade and we weren't standing in the shade, and he just kept talking to us. He had to tell josh to zip up his fly, and i told Josh yeah, put your horse back in the barn and Kyle laughed. It was so hot. Kyle's shirt was all sweaty. He smelled like sweaty male, not bad, just sweaty and real. Hi has a little bitty chip in one tooth and his eyes are the same color as mine, kind of greenish with gold and brown.



I'm exhausted. I'm going to get a cold shower and crash

I went to a game last night. I saw Kyle. He was back as coach in this episode. I gave him a thank you card for being so nice to us when we met him. He told us to have fun and make sure that Benji drinks lots of water. Then I passed him on the way to snaks and he looked right at me and told me to take care.
Then at the end of the shoot, they announced that it was his wedding anniversary, so we all had to shout happy anniversary.

He looked great. The first half of the shoot, I just kept watching him. I thought I'd never get tired of that, but alas, but about midnight, the novelty wore off and I was ready for him to get his butt of the field, so we could wrap up and go home. We wrapped up at about 12:30. They fed us, checked us out and we were pulling out by a little after one. We pulled into our garage at about 2:30.
I wrote him a letter inside the card.
Here's what I wrote,
Dear Kyle,
We just wanted to thank you for being so kind to us when we met you on the set last week. I know it was blazing hot and you had better things to do, yet you were so gracious. You made Benji's day!

You see, when we first moved here after katrina, Benji had a really hard time. He spent most of his time moping and crying. Then one day he and Josh discovered Early Edition and they were hooked. The whole premise of the show really captured their imagination. When we told him you'd be doing FNL, he was very excited and is a huge FNL fan. Meeting you was the high light of his summer. So, if you ever wonder if you've made a different in the world, you have. You made a little boy very happy just by being you. You were telling us about your grandparents the day we met. We'll I'm betting they are so proud of you.
We'll be continuing to pray for you this year. We hope you have all the health, happiness and success you deserve.

It was just a really fun night. I have to say though, the more i see him in passing, the less the swoon factor kicks in. Don't get me wrong, he's still the most handsome man ever, but now, when I'm on the set, I'm not so much a fan, as I am an extra and it gets to be no big deal running into him getting snacks. Last night when I passed him, I was more focused on getting my kids gator piss and getting up the stands in a timely matter. No time for swooning.
And he works really hard. Like I said I was watching him most of the night and really he had to do the same stuff we did, only with lines to memorize and he did it and was cheerful the whole time.
It was a great night and I'm looking forward to more bookings in the next few weeks.

Well, I had to be at the base camp at 7:30. So after not being able to sleep more than about two hours, I was up at 4:30 AM and out the door an hour later.
They divided us into two groups. I was in the second group. They put us in a van and drove us over to Garrity Motors.

The scene centered around Garrity motors hog wild sale. So he had a pig for pig wrestling. Coach came out to the dealership, and then Garrity called out Santiago, and had him wrestle the pig while coach watched and we all cheered. At one point, Garrity announced that we were looking at the Panthers' next Linebacker.
Connie was also there, but I didn't see her in the scene. She just seemed to be there. She didn't look in character. this Santiago guy looked like he could be a good fit to the show. He's handsome and looks like he could play football.

It was hot. They gave us cold hot dogs and pork rinds to "eat" and had us watching and cheering pig wrestling. Anyone get the irony in that??

I got to watch something very special today. When we were shuttled over to the dealership, I had brought a book with me. I had been reading for a few minutes when I looked up and saw Brad and Kyle laughing and joking around. In the space of about ten minutes, I watched Kyle go from being Kyle, to Coach Taylor. You could see him actually changing and channeling his character. He walked off by himself and suddenly his jaw was tense, his posture changed. He put on his hat and his sunglasses and suddenly, he wasn't Kyle, he was Coach. It was so cool. He really metamorpised. It was like watching him change into a whole nother person, entirely different then himself. What an actor he is!! I was so proud of him. I asked him if he was going to wrestle a pig and he said no and smiled.

On the downside, Yes, there IS a downside. One of the extras I was working with was actually from the casting office. I was talking to her and the others about the show. I was telling the lady how they should do a crossover with ER and have Coach get hit by a Sun Times truck. Have him get all kinds of injured, lots of blood, lots of drama, near death stuff and a triumpnat return. Then this man that was sitting with us turns to me and tells me he works in casting and that he's going to tell Kyle everything i said. I'm all freaking out and backpedaling because the whole thing sounded really far fetched and i just kept adding stuff. He said it was a great idea and that Kyle is a hoot and would love it. We then finished the scene and i got into the van as quickly as i could. This man was talking to Kyle as we drove away.
So, now Kyle probably thinks I'm a pcycho-wench who wants to see him covered in blood. Isn't that swell??
So, that was my day. I'm sick and exhausted. And now grace seems to have a cold too. So I'm going to eat and crawl into bed.

The show supposedly is coming back for next season, but we haven't filmed since November. I'm seriously hoping to start filming again soon. It's good to see the board become active again!!
I'm editing to say that The times that I've worked with Kyle and was able to talk to him, he is just the sweetest, most down to earth man. The last filming we did, my hubby was able to come and Kyle actually introduced himself to him and shook his hand and told him how much he enoyed meeting our family and how nice we were!! Sometimes we hear about how actors can be so handsome and then they turn out to be jerks. Not so with Kyle. He's a true gentleman and a sweetheart and i hope that I'm blessed enough to be able to work along side him again.
