So Eric's wife is going to be "restless" --- sounds like trouble will be a-brewing right from the get go! Will she be disinterested in being "Coach's wife"? Trying to find her own place in life? Wanting another child? Hoping to leave Texas? Attracted to one of the teenage players? I'm looking forward to finding out what her story will be!!! I've finally been able to get beyond the first page of the FNL website and was very happy to see what a prominent place Homefront plays in Kyle's bio: "Chandler earned critical reviews for his portrayal of Jeff Metcalf in the acclaimed series Homefront..." Any guesses what the necklace might be that hangs around Eric's neck?  I'm trying to get a sense of the cast of characters. Here are some notes on the leads. Am I missing anybody? Eric and Tami Taylor - Coach and his wife Jason Street - quarterback Lyla Garrity - cheerleader / Jason's girlfriend Landry Clarke - not on team / Jason's best friend Matt Saracen - backup quarterback Julie Taylor - Coach's daughter Brian "Smash" Williams - running back / rival of Tim's Tim Higgins - running back / rival of Smash's Tyra Collette - random girl Bethany

I bet you're right! I was thinking that it was something key to Kyle's character, since it looks like he's probably "in costume" in that picture. It's hard to tell, but the rest of the actors are in costume in the pictures attached to their bios. So I wonder why Coach Taylor would wear a St. Christopher's medal... Did he do alot of traveling at some point in his life? There's a neat Homefront connection, too! One of the good luck charms that Jeff Metcalf took to spring training was a St. Christopher's medal.

According to www.tv-now.com, NBC is going to be re-airing the pilot of Friday Night Lights on Wednesday, October 4th at 8:00 pm Eastern --- the night after it premieres! Talk about a bold move to try and win an audience!!! The pilot is also supposed to be re-broadcast on the USA Network later that same night (Wednesday) at 11:00 pm Eastern. Does NBC own USA or something? I wonder if USA will be showing late night re-broadcasts throughout the season - or if this is just a one-time publicity stunt.
