On a lighter note, I loved the Anne/Hank moment in "So All Alone" when Anne tells Hank to "Always be a gentleman in bed" just as he and Sarah are heading out on their honeymoon.

I love that moment! That's my pick for Anne/Hank, too. There's so much going on around them and, for a minute, it's just a mother giving a last word of wisdom to her son before he becomes an ol' married man.

My favorite Gloria/Robert moment is the episode when Robert is hurt at the plant and he & Abe get in a terrible argument about whether or not Robert has a responsibility to his people to go back to work. Gloria & Robert are at home in another room and she shows him some of Abe's pictures and tells him about his father's own dreams. He doesn't understand how they can have any faith that things will get better, and Gloria tells her son that this is because he is not yet a father. When he has a child of his own, he'll understand Abe --- he'll know that parents don't have any choice but to believe that things will get better.

I loved the Anne/Jeff moment when he gave her the perfume he had planned on giving to Sarah. She's so unaccustomed to a non-birthday/non-Mother's Day gift from a child! She pats her hair and smooths her dress and is so surprised and touched. Jeff seemed a little more like a kid in that scene than usual!

I guess we never really got to see Ruth as a mom --- except in those flashbacks she had at the first Christmas after Michael's death. :( They were very sweet flashbacks, though. And the moments when she "came out of it" with this huge smile on her face then suddenly realized that it was just a memory and Michael was gone forever - very emotional. I thought it was a fitting way for Ruth to be written while she & Mike waited for news about Gina's delivery.

Anne/Linda... I'm not sure about this one. I'll have to get back to y'all with my pick for this duo!

I vaguely recall a funny moment with Gina and Emma when Gina was mad at Charlie or the world or something, but it's been awhile since I watched the second season, so I'll have to postpone my pick on this one, too!
