I second that! NBC had a great ad running last weekend promoting the new season of FNL - which started last Friday night. I've been a little under the weather - and doped up on cold medicine - so it slipped my mind on Friday and I'm bummed. I hope they'll rerun it! Any word on how the series did ratings-wise while it was on DirecTV?

What a score for the series to land Janine Turner in a guest role. I've loved her work since Northern Exposure...

Well, I just found the complete list and Kyle wasn't on it. I guess it was just wishing by the reporter above. I was so excited when I thought he was. I think Friday Night Lights deserves an Emmy for best drama series. All Kyle has to do is alter something tiny like an eyebrow and he conveys so much. He deserves an acting award.

Hmmm... It's certainly an interesting deal. So the folks with DirecTV will be able to watch the new season of FNL beginning in October and the rest of us will get to see them in "early 2009." Hey, I'll take it - but I'll have to be careful not to read anything about FNL online so I don't hear all the spoilers months ahead of time! Can you imagine how excited we would've been back in 1993 if ABC could have cut a deal like this for a third season of Homefront!!!...

If you missed the news, NBC announced its fall 2008 lineup this week - more than a month earlier than the usual mid-May pattern - and can we all pause to cheer that "Friday Night Lights" got renewed for a third season.

As we've been saying around here, NBC was looking to share the costs of producing the terrific but low-rated series, and it struck a deal with DirecTV.

NBC viewers won't see the 13 new episodes...

Just wanted to let everyone know that I read on TV GUide.com today that FNL has been renewed for another season! Yeah!!! It is refreshing to see a network fight to keep a show on the air even though it's ratings aren't ideal... THanks NBC, I guess now I can start to forgive you for canceling American Dreams.

just wanted to give you the heads up that our beloved Kyle CHandler's show Friday Night Lights is in jeaopardy of cancelation. It's time to organize and show our support for this great actor and fabulous show. Write letters to NBC, make phone calls, do whatever you have to in order to help save this show! Any ideas?

The premiere episode was quite shocking. I didn't get the chance to see last Friday, but that was okay because I already watched on the YahooTV site.
